Prof. Wei Chu

Sichuan University, China

Biography:

Prof. Wei Chu is a full Professor in Sichuan University. He has obtained his PhD in ULP in 1991 (Strasbourg University, France). During 2010-2013, Wei Chu  was Senior Scientist in SABIC Tech Center Riyadh, Project PI, on several projects with good success. He has more than 30 years research experiences, including 12 years abroad for researches works, in several famous Institutions such as TUM in Germany, USTL in France, IUPUI in USA, SABIC in Saudia Arabia, NUS in Singapore, etc. Prof. Wei Chu has supervised 20 PhDs and >50 Chinese Masters (Each 3 years' Grade), as the Technical Team Leader. Wei has co-authored more than 300 scientific publications (therein 240 peer-reviewed journal papers and 70 proceeding papers); He is corresponding author or 1st author for most of them. He has more than 4080 citations in Google scholar, h index 32, i10 index 105; (similar situation in Scopus or Web of Science).

Prof. Yong Xiao

Chongqing Jiaotong University, China

Biography:

Prof. Yong Xiao received his PhD from the University of Nottingham in 1994 and has taught at three of the world's top 100 universities in the UK. Currently, he is the dean of the School of Civil Engineering of Chongqing Jiaotong University, professor/senior engineer, and doctoral supervisor. Distinguished expert of the National High-level Talent Program, outstanding scientist of the Chongqing Talent Program, chief expert of Chongqing City, and serves on multiple international and national engineering and academic committees. He has long been engaged in work on steel structures, steel-concrete composite structures, fiber concrete structures, structural fluid-solid coupling, etc., conducted important research, and achieved significant scientific research results. He has published more than 200 papers (SCI110) in international journals and conferences, 4 books, and 15 patents. As the first tutor, he has guided more than 60 research-based master's and doctoral students and 12 postdoctoral students. Presided over the establishment of a steel structure technology team covering areas such as prefabricated buildings, bridges, pipe corridors, and smart parking garages. He has presided over and completed more than 60 major international and domestic scientific research and engineering projects, and won 18 scientific research, engineering and design awards.
