A. Prof. Gao Qingfei

Harbin Institute of Technology

Research Area: Bridge engineering

Qingfei Gao is an associate professor in the School of Transportation Science and Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology, deputy director of the Department of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, and a test inspector of highway and water transportation engineering (bridge and tunnel engineering, road engineering). He is a member of International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS), International Society for Intelligent Construction (ISIC), Chinese Civil Engineering Society, Chinese Highway Society, the first young editorial board member of Journal of Xi'an University of Science and Technology, and a reviewer of many journals at home and abroad. He has made important research results in long-term service performance of bridge structures under extreme environment, intelligent inspection and rapid assessment methods of bridge structures, design theory and construction technology of complex bridge structures, and structural condition assessment and load limiting theory of existing bridges. In the past five years, he has presided or participated in more than 10 scientific research projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Heilongjiang Key R&D Program, Shandong Key R&D Program, China Postdoctoral Fund, Jilin Provincial Department of Transportation and Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Transportation, etc. He has also presided over more than 30 horizontal projects, such as bridge design audit, construction technology service, bridge inspection, maintenance and repair and reinforcement, etc. He has written 2 books and participated in 5 specifications. In addition, he has written 2 books and participated in 5 specifications, granted 15 invention patents and accepted more than 10 invention patents. In addition, in terms of teaching research, he has presided over 3 provincial and university-level educational reform projects, 1 virtual simulation teaching project, published nearly 10 papers on educational reform, won the honorary title of "Teaching Contribution Award", and won the first prize of postgraduate education achievements of Harbin Institute of Technology and the first prize of higher education achievements of Heilongjiang Province.

A. Prof. Zhenhua Duan

Tongji University, China

Research Area: Green construction; Recycled aggregate concrete

In 2015, Dr. Duan obtained his doctor's degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is now an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of Tongji University, Shanghai Pujiang scholar, and the deputy director of the "recycled concrete structure and Construction" Research Center. In the past five years, more than 50 papers have been published, 14 invention patents have been authorized, and more than 10 standards have been prepared. He has presided over more than 10 scientific research projects. Based on the above studies, he has won the first prize of provincial and ministerial Natural Science Award (ranking 4 in 2020), two provincial and ministerial first prizes for scientific and technological progress (ranking 10 and 15) and one provincial and ministerial second prize for technological invention (ranking 6).

In recent years, he has served as the reviewer of more than 10 academic journals such as Cement and Concrete Composites, Journal of Cleaner Production, Construction and Building Materials, and also served as the Secretary General of the Recycled Concrete Academic Committee of the Chinese Society of Civil Engineering. On behalf of the committee, he has organized many academic annual meetings.

A.Prof. Zawawi Bin Daud

University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Malaysia

Dr. Zawawi Daud works as an Associate Professor at Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. Born and trained in Malaysia, he has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (University of Technology Malaysia), a master’s in Civil Engineering (Environment) (University of Technology Malaysia), and a doctorate in Environmental Engineering (University of Science Malaysia). Dr. Zawawi teaches various courses related to environmental engineering, management and science at undergraduate and masters levels. These include water and wastewater treatment, biological and physico-chemical treatment processes, sludge management, industrial and hazardous waste management and water quality management. Dr. Zawawi’s research focuses on alleviating problems associated with water pollution issues from industrial wastewater and landfill leachate. His latest interest is on natural adsorbent material in water and wastewater treatments.
